WALT:choose language for effect.

ThMagic Box

I will put in the box,
the dazzle from my great Nana's diamond earrings,
the heat from the house fire blazing brightly,
the touch of my mummy's hand hugging me with love.
I will put in the box,
the first shining smile Meghan smiled at me,
a talking teddy that shares my secrets,
the perfect picture of my magnificent mummy and papa.
I will put in the box,
the glistening glint from the moon reflecting off the sea,
a blossoming flower coming from my cousin,
my lucky charm stuffed in a pillow.
I will put the box,
a ray of sun light that bounces round,
a shadow of my special teacher Miss Dare teaching the class,
and a purple balloon from my first birthday.

My box is fashioned with electricity veined ice,
with snow flakes imprinted on the lid.
Its rain drop hinges only open,
with the timely touch of my hand.

I shall dash around in my box
running in the verdancy of the field,
then falling over and dropping into a nest of daisies,
the colour of snow.

  1. Dear Miss Moosy I like the way you have used awesome descriptive language to add effect to your writing for example alliteration when you said magnificent mummy and perfect picture. My favourite stanza is the last one where instead of using boring adjectives and nouns you have used ones that enhance your writing. Through this piece of writing you have clearly given a message about who you are
